As a Sr. Manager in our Global People Operations PMO, you will play a crucial role in driving project management excellence and ensuring the successful delivery of strategic and cross functional projects across the Global People organization. This role requires a strong, dynamic leader who will provide guidance, support, and leadership to project managers and business partners.

What you get to do in this role

Project Portfolio Management

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive project portfolio, including project charters, project plans and resource allocations.
  • Develop and implement project management standards, methodologies, and best practices
  • Prioritize projects based on strategic objectives, resource availability and business impact
  • Regularly review the project portfolio and make recommendations for optimization and resource reallocation
  • Partner with Portfolio Governance Manager to provide input into the annual operating plan (AOP) and confirm project management support alignment

Project Management Oversight

  • Provide oversight and guidance to project managers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Review project plans, deliverables, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with project objectives
  • Assist Project Managers to identify and resolve project issues, risks and conflicts

Resource Management

  • Manage project resource allocation and capacity planning
  • Optimize resource utilization across projects to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Partner with Portfolio Governance Manager and COE leaders to align project management resources according to required skills and expertise

Stakeholder Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including GP executives, project sponsors and cross functional teams
  • Support escalation of risks and issues to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment
  • Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution among stakeholders

Project Portfolio Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Establish and maintain project management metrics and KPIs to monitor performance and project delivery
  • Prepare status reports and executive summaries as needed
  • Review post-project lessons learned to identify opportunities for improvement

Training and Development

  • Develop and deliver project management training programs, workshops, and resources for project managers
  • Mentor and coach project managers to enhance their project management skills and capabilities
  • Foster a culture of learning, development, collaboration, and innovation within the PMO
  • Facilitate the integration of project management best practices into the GP organizational culture

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management or a related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) c
