Driving Range Attendant (PT)

Scope of Position

The Driving Range Attendant provides optimal customer service to Members and Guests. The Driving Range Attendant is responsible for maintaining and organizing the golf course driving range by making sure there is a sufficient supply of range balls for golfers. This position also includes making sure that the golf cart fleet and driving range are in good condition and ready for the guests’ experience.

Position Requirements

• Minimum 1 + years related experience in a golf resort environment.
• Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment.
• Friendly personality and enjoy working with the public.
• Experience with a diversity of golf course operations: resort, semi-private.
• Knowledge of golf cart equipment and tools is required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and maintains the practice facility not limited to the Driving Range. Including the putting and chipping areas.
• Must maintain all driving range furniture and equipment.
• Must keep ice and water fully stocked in cooler and maintain the club cleaners.
• Be service oriented, have positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meet established quality, service, and safety expectations.
• Assist when needed to maintain the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion, including the bag drop area.
• Operation of golf carts and driving range equipment in a safe manner.
• Coordinate activities with Golf Shop to keep services running smoothly.
• Support all course policies and programs as communicated by management.
• Provides additional support to other areas of the course as needed.
• Make sure all equipment, carts, etc. are working correctly.
• Communicate with the golf operations on a regular basis.
• Assist guests with any on-course concerns and alert appropriate supervisor if necessary.
• Assist in keeping the course and areas around the course clean.
• Notify Golf Operations Management of any maintenance concerns needing to be addressed.
• Be prepared for inclement weather (air horn, rain gear, etc.), understand bad weather procedures and communicate with Golf Operations during weather alerts as necessary.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.

Education

• High school diploma or GED.

Skills and Abilities

• Able to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus. 
• Able to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends.
• Able to perform multiple tasks.  
• Knowledge of the use of equipment/machinery.                                                                                                                                             

Physical Requirements                                                                                                                                                              

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to be outdoors for long periods of time.
• Able to sit down for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including heat, sun, wind, and rain.
• Be physically fit to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds.
• Also requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
