Stanford Health Tri-Valley Family Medicine Residency Program and University Medical Partners (UMP), a partner of Stanford Medicine, is seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatrician to join our Family Medicine Residency clinic in Pleasanton and Castro Valley locations.


Position Overview:

This unique position combines direct patient care with educational responsibilities, providing an opportunity for a pediatrician to play a crucial role in the professional development of family medicine residents. The pediatrician will work closely with residents on a one-on-one basis, fostering a collaborative learning environment that enhances clinical skills and patient care.

The teaching responsibilities for this position include mentoring family medicine residents for 8 four-week blocks each year in addition to participating in the family medicine educational didactics 6-8 times per year.

 
Position Details:

  • 24-32 patient contact hours per week
  • Community-based/teaching practice
    • Provide formative feedback to residents during patient care
    • Provide summative evaluations for residents at the end of each block rotation
  • Practice evidence-based medicine following American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines and standards
  • Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to the AAP’s principles, including patient care, preventative care such as vaccinations, safety, and ethical guidelines
  • Committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based pediatric care in alignment with APP’s policies and recommendations
  • Providers see an average of 15-18 patients a day
  • Clinic Hours – M-F from 8:15am-5:15pm
  • Opportunity to practice full-spectrum Pediatrics and performing basic outpatient office procedures such as suturing, circumcisions, tongue clips, etc.
  • Shared light night/weekend call schedule 1:4 and evenly distributed among physicians in the clinic
