Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job

This role will be driving our self directed trading product. This individual will work closely with our securities leadership to deliver a best in class securities trading and portfolio management experience to our clients. The role of Product Manager is pivotal in driving both customer facing and back-office solutions, better meeting the needs of clients by executing on the product vision. You will provide product leadership throughout the software development life-cycle, including product launch and go-to-market. This position is on-site and located at our HQ in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities

• Work with business partners to define and document workflows, process maps and data flows to illuminate needed changes to accomplish project objectives
• Write user stories defining specific requirements and specify the acceptance criteria for each user story
• Serve as the product owner for the Scrum team(s), directly participating in Sprint planning activities and providing regular feedback to the development team
• Ensure operating and support structures are in place for the product (including documentation, training, and staffing)
• Primarily responsible for developing user stories and development requirements based on use cases and business requirements
• Work closely with the product management team and the technical subject matter experts to identify optimal solutions to business problems and customer use cases
• Synthesize inputs from multiple sources and translate those into clearly articulated requirements for the software engineers to build
• Work independently
• Build consensus when there are differing opinions, and drive projects forward to meet key milestone dates
• Good understanding of the software development process and be able to quickly identify blockers, requirement gaps, and other constraints, as well as help lead the team to overcome these impediments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• 2+ years' developing technical requirements for technology projects
• Experience using or working with self directed trading brokerages such as: Webull, Robinhood, Schwab Investments, Fidelity, etc.
• Knowledge of the securities space and with knowledge around mutual funds, exchange traded funds, margin trading, options trading, etc.
• Expertise with issue and development tracking software such as Microsoft DevOps or Jira
• Agile / scrum environment
• Clarify ambiguous objectives by breaking projects down into component pieces
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate both strategically and technically
• Proven experience bringing disparate opinions together across multiple stakeholder groups
• Pro-actively identify potential issues and escalate as needed
• Object-oriented design and coding best-practices across a variety of platforms
• Manage multiple projects and deliver quality outcomes within short time frames
• Work independently with little supervision while meeting aggressive timeliness
• Analyze and assess current processes to define, document, and implement improvements
