Job Description

As a new or recent graduate hire, you will join Blend360’s All-Star Program.  The All-Star Program is Blend360’s elite 6-month early-career talent development program uniquely designed for recent or new graduates who are interested in a career in the professional services and consulting field. As an All-Star, you will have the opportunity to learn from our analytics and technology practitioners to gain first-hand experience in one of our key core capability areas – Data Science, Business Intelligence, and Data Engineering and Project Management. Your journey begins with intensive training to ensure you gain both the soft and hard skills to hit the ground running on client projects. From Blend360 instructor-led training, to interactive online certification courses and to working on real client projects under the guidance of senior team members, we provide you with the tools to become a productive member of the business intelligence team at Blend360. 

The All-Star focused on Business Intelligence will: 

  • Work with clients to understand visualization and analytical requirements, KPIs and the underlying databases and data sources 

  • Work with data in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, Amazon Redshift and other similar cloud based and/or on-premises databases; write SQL scripts to transform the data 

  • Develop best-in-class dashboards and visualizations using BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI  to communicate actionable business insights  

  • Identify trends, summarize findings, and provide recommendations  

  • Work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment with Engineers, Project Managers, Analysts, Data Engineers and Data Scientists

  • Location: Columbia, MD or Denver, CO
  • Must be graduating in the spring or early summer of 2023, start date is June of 2023

Qualifications

  • Degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science or other quantitative discipline
  • Internship experience in Data Science, Engineering, or Analytics
  • Strong problem-solving skill through quantitative thinking and analysis
  • Strong verbal and written communication Skills
  • Ability to work effectively in small and large teams delivering solutions for various clients
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Required Technical Skills

  • Ability to gather, analyze, document and validate business requirements. 

  • Ability to gather & query business data from different data sources/databases using SQL and/or other tools such as Alteryx or Knime 

  • Familiarity with one or more data sources such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle database or Amazon Redshift 

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends and present findings with recommendations 

  • Ability to use tools such as Tableau or Power BI to analyze and build reports/dashboards (Looker, ThoughtSpot and Sisense, a plus) 

  • Familiarity with Python or R is a plus 

  • Demonstrate a desire to remain current with features in the latest industry technologies and standards

Additional Information

The starting pay range for this role is $65,000 - $85,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance.
