WHO WE ARE

The Maneuver Dominance (MD) Team at Anduril develops aerial robotic systems designed to operate in large coordinated teams in concert with ground maneuver forces. We leverage existing Anduril drone platforms like Ghost, Altius, or Roadrunner, in addition to bringing 3rd party platforms into Anduril’s Lattice ecosystem. We develop perception and autonomy algorithms to solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers. In your role as Technical Program Manager you will be an expert on mission execution, Anduril products, and managing relationships as we seek to advance the art of possible for large drone teams.

We are looking for a UAS Subject Matter Expert to work hands on with our customers to ensure we’re delivering the aircraft they need, exactly the way they need it, when they need it. You’ll manage all technical aspects of the aircraft and it's components, vendors, documentation, test/evaluation/demo events, and delivery. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • Lead, manage, and execute large, technical programs, from early stage design through to technology development, system integration, testing and deployment.
  • Partner closely with customers on their current and future Group 2/3 UAS needs, ensuring that we understand their unique mission requirements and deliver aircraft on time.
  • Manage and own Group 2/3 UAS systems integration, configuration, documentation and vendors, ensuring that we are delivering on customer inputs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements, and keep accurate accounting of resources.
  • Manage all technical aspects of the Group 2/3 UAS program so that we represent exactly what the customer is asking for at demonstration events.
  • Travel to customer sites, test events, and demonstration events up to 50% of the year.
  • Demonstrate high ownership on all pieces of work; build trust and forge long standing relationships with Anduril teammates, vendors, and customers through effective communication, positive attitude, and meticulous follow-through.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Physics, Engineering or applicable discipline specific to the needs of the MD Team.
  • 7+ years experience as a Technical Program Manager, Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, Engineering Manager, or Engineer.
  • Hand on experience with Group 2/3 UAS integration (GNSS, flight controllers, payloads, communication links, networks, sensors, etc).
  • Ability to lead an engineering team in the development and execution of different contracted and strategic efforts.
  • Proven experience delivering technology to government organizations.
  • Ability to work within organizations with minimal structure and with minimal direction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, software development lifecycle, challenges and risks; ability to work closely and effectively with engineering teams.
  • Strong experience in project management and project management technologies (e.g. JIRA and Confluence); practical familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and ability to apply them where best suited.
  • Must hold a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years experience as a Technical Program Manager, Senior Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, Engineering Manager, or Engineer in an autonomous systems environment for defense application.
  • Significant customer-facing experience leading high profile and high stakes programs, including strong interpersonal skills and executive gravitas.
  • Experience with Defense Acquisition Processes, including System Requirements Reviews, Preliminary / Critical Design Reviews, Production Readiness Reviews, etc.
  • Experience working with military units on custom UAS systems from concept, through testing, to delivery.
