At UWM we are looking for the best people. In this position, the candidate will play a key role in leading our responsive and capable Information Security team. We have experienced explosive growth as a leader in the Financial Services industry, and we are looking for an established Information Security professional to help lead a critical segment of our Information Security team.
The Information Security Team Lead will report directly to, and support, the Chief Information Security Officer to provide the highest quality information assurance program to our business teams and customers. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Information Security Team Lead will lead a team to develop and implement security processes and solutions, including ongoing assessment and compliance to required security guidelines across the enterprise computing environment. The Information Security Team Lead will also be responsible for mentoring and growing a team of Information Security professionals with diverse skills and responsibilities across a number of platforms.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in Information Security and a proven ability to deliver under pressure and meet deadlines, while possessing exemplary communication and leadership abilities.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience across all domains in the Information Security Common Body of Knowledge.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Develop IAM Governance Framework:Design and implement a comprehensive IAM governance framework that aligns with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements, ensuring secure access to systems and data.
- Policy and Procedure Management:Establish, maintain, and enforce IAM policies and procedures, including identity lifecycle management, access control, and user provisioning/de-provisioning processes.
- Team Leadership:Lead and mentor a team of IAM professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and effectiveness in managing IAM initiatives.
- Risk Assessment:Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential access control issues, developing strategies to mitigate risks associated with identity and access management.
- Access Governance Strategy:Define and implement access governance strategies, ensuring that access rights are granted based on the principle of least privilege and regularly reviewed for compliance.
- Monitoring and Reporting:Oversee the monitoring of IAM activities and access controls, generating reports and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of IAM policies and procedures.
- Collaboration:Work closely with IT, security, compliance, and business units to ensure IAM initiatives are integrated into broader security and compliance strategies, facilitating cross-departmental communication.
- Continuous Improvement:Stay current with IAM trends, technologies, and best practices, recommending enhancements to IAM tools and processes to improve security and efficiency.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Must Have Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Information Security of increasing responsibility, resulting in strong familiarity with application and network security
- Extensive experience with standard security tools and platforms
- Experience with identity and access management and governance (IAM/IGA) platforms and processes
- Computer-related degree or equivalent work experience
- Ability to communicate with strong technical skills
- Strong analytical problem solving skills
- Experience with customer management (setting expectations, relationship management)
- Ability to work with limited guidance in a team environment
- Experience with team member management
- Exemplary communication abilities
- Ability to mentor team members
- Excellent organizational skills
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry
- Experience implementing an established IAM/IGA solution
