About the Opportunity
The CSSO is responsible for the adherence to all aspects of the Special Access Program (SAP) & Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Compliance Programs as stipulated by DoD 5205.07 and other program security directives.
SAP/SCI Security personnel interface with customers and the government on security requirements for special programs as well as providing guidance and support to employees working on such activities.
As a CSSO, you will use your strong working knowledge of the Special Program Security Core Functional Areas (such as Security Management, Personnel Security, Accountability, Information Security, Physical Security, Access Control, Transmission, Security Education, Contracting, and Guard Force responsibilities) on a regular basis.
Additionally, the CSSO will brief & indoctrinate program personnel on the proper application of security procedures, interpret and provide classification guidance to employees, participate in self-inspections as well as customer reviews, and investigate security incidents. Furthermore, the CSSO will support other security related tasks as assigned by the Special Programs Security Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
- Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience
- Must have or be eligible for obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement, including a polygraph examination upon customer request and must meet eligibility requirements
- Working knowledge of eQIP, DISS, and NISS systems
- Able to communicate and make presentations/updates to senior leadership
- Able to travel up to 5% domestically when circumstances permit.
- Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), formerly known as DoD 5220.22-M (NISPOM)
