About the role

Team Leaders are responsible for overseeing teams of employees and motivating them to complete their job duties effectively. They will know every aspect of the electrical building process for projects they are responsible for and be capable of sharing that knowledge with team members. Provide oversight and guidance to Crew Lead.

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target performance incentive.  This position has a target hourly compensation range of $30.00 - $34.00/hour. Base wages are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Responsibilities:
•Interpret electrical engineering drawings and communicate requirements to work teams.
•Identify and report discrepancies on electrical and control drawings.
•Troubleshooting of electrical and controls systems.
•Ensure project schedule milestones are met.
•Communicate clear instructions and coaching of the work team to ensure all cost, quality and schedule requirements are met.
•Report defective material or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
•Manage all work orders associated with assembly: tracks, assigns, and monitors work orders.
•Plans resource requirements based on work orders and production plan.
•Fosters a spirit of teamwork within the department.
•Ensure timeliness, safety and quality of material movement.
•Responsible for safe work practices, maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring work crews follow safe practices and HSE programs, including Lock-out Tag-out.
•In conjunction with the supervision and Safety Department, trains employees on changes in safety regulations, work policies, and standards.
•Develops skills and abilities of team members.
•Ensures all department employees complete required training.
•Ensure work is completed accurately and documented on QC checklists.
•Assist team members in recording labor to timesheets into company ERP system.
•Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its core values, and other associates while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
•Ensure maintenance of a clean work environment.
•Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:
•Familiarity with NEC code (experience with IEC or other standards is a plus).
•Ability to read one line and three-line drawings (MV, LV, Control).
•Ability to establish effective methods and procedures for installation of electrical components, equipment and instruments.
•Familiarity with electrical assembly and measurement tools (including multimeter and megger test equipment).
•Ability to perform basic math.
•Good command of the English language, both written and verbal is a requirement.
•Experience in supervising the work of others and the ability to effectively coach and lead team members.
•Practical experience in the installation of electrical panels (MV, LV, MCC panels), E-stops, warning lights, lighting, grounding, termination of LV and MV equipment
•Practical experience in the installation of control and instrument systems including installation of field instruments, cabling and termination, fabrication of control panels, and installation of control panels.
Able to perform commissioning and test activities including insulation test of electrical equipment and cables (MV & LV), point-to-point test and continuity test is considered a plus.
•Practical experience with installation and termination of PLCs
•Ability to manage people and make decisions. Knowledge of team leading practices and techniques.
•Ability to effectively coordinate and oversee multiple work orders.
•Commitment to the concept of continual improvement, effective quality management systems and safe work practices.
•Understanding the production and work order process.
•Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
•Factory experience required.
•Physical fitness and strength to lift 30-50 lbs. regularly.
•Regularly required to stand, bend, crouch and reach.
•Excellent hand-eye coordination.
•Excellent attention to detail with strong listening and communication skills.
•Travel required (up to 20%)
•Ability to motivate others to achieve a goal.
•Lead by example to include: demonstrates strong work ethic, can do attitude, great attendance, and excellent safety awareness.
