The Role
Under the direction of Furnace Aftermarket Sales Director, as part of our Aftermarket Service Division, the Aftermarket Inside Sales & Services Engineer:
You will be supporting the department in providing spare parts quoting needs, designing rebuilds/retrofits, and providing field service to industrial type furnace owners in the carbon and non-ferrous industries primarily in North America.
When in the office you will develop and maintain an expert understanding of Andritz furnace products, customer needs, and advanced sales skills to allow you to make thorough and informed recommendations to the customer on Andritz furnace products. Also, you will provide support to the department on managing project execution.
You will be required to prepare quotes, visit, sell, and technically interact with furnace customers consisting of reheat, annealing, galvanizing, and continuous types. You will support the inside sales team for technical support and order processing.
Goals and Responsibilities:
- Generate new business opportunities by utilizing consultative selling techniques and skills to engage customers.
- Differentiate the ANDRITZ product portfolio by promoting its unique focus on advanced technologies and application engineering.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery conditions, and execution of supplier contracts.
- Work with other members of the Sales Team to create, develop, and maintain relationships with key accounts.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of combustion systems, burners, and associated equipment within industrial furnaces.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to assist in the design and installation of combustion systems for new and existing furnaces.
- Conduct combustion system tuning and optimization to achieve optimal energy efficiency, productivity, and emissions control.
- Monitor and analyze furnace performance data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and production targets.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, regulations, and protocols related to combustion processes, including fire safety, hazardous material handling, and emergency shutdown procedures.
- Perform regular safety checks on equipment, maintain safety documentation, and participate in safety training initiatives.
- Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to schedule and execute maintenance activities, minimizing downtime and maximizing furnace availability.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and calibration procedures.
- Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in combustion systems, safety protocols, and furnace operation.
