Job Description
Our company is seeking exceptional chemists to join our highly collaborative Discovery Chemistry Department, located in Rahway, New Jersey. The successful candidate will contribute to multidisciplinary discovery teams by applying innovative chemistry, analytical techniques, and data analysis in the design and synthesis of drug candidates. We expect that the successful candidates will quickly learn the necessary skills through on-the-job training, enabling them to excel in the design, synthesis, and optimization of complex drug candidates through data-driven approaches. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead laboratory efforts to execute chemistry aligned with program strategies.
Develop and apply innovative synthetic, medicinal chemistry, or chemical biology problem-solving skills to build structure-activity relationships.
Design, synthesize, and characterize peptide and macrocyclic drug candidates that support target identification and validation, as well as hit-to-lead and lead optimization programs.
Provide scientific mentorship and technical training to team members.
Establish a significant external scientific presence by authoring impactful scientific publications and delivering presentations.
Education Minimum Requirements:
Ph.D. degree in chemistry, chemical biology, medicinal chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience in peptide or macrocycle synthesis preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills, with a proven track record of solving complex problems in a team environment.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
