Summary
The Senior Analyst - East Coast SCM Team 3 role will be responsible for TPL operations, including customer relations, ocean
import/export services, inland freight services, and warehouse & distribution services. In addition,
this position will update and maintain systems, provide operational reports, and assist with additional
projects.
Responsibilities
• Process import/export shipments
◦ Populate and update systems and track shipments
◦ Monitor and support container moves on ocean and in-land (rail and truck routes) freights
◦ Prepare required shipping documents including BLs, PODs, commercial invoices, etc
◦ Develop knowledge of all modes of transportation
◦ Booking necessary space on ships, aircraft, or trucks
◦ Complete shipping documentation, such as including bill of lading, House Airways Bills, House Bill of lading and certificates of origin
◦ Inform clients of factors such as shipping options, time-lines, transfer or regulations affecting shipments
◦ Keep records of goods dispatched or received
◦ Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulations, political situations (such as embargo) to different countries that could affect freight shipping
◦ Monitor and/or record location of goods in transit
◦ Negotiate shipping rates with the carriers
◦ Make arrangements with customs brokers to facilitate the customs clearance
◦ All shipment be must be open in file folders
• Customer service
◦ Daily coordination with customer inquiries
◦ Monitor inbound containers for timely release
◦ Handle customer shipment routing requests, and assign approved service provider for transportation based on carrier matrix and other factors
◦ Ensure carrier compliance with customer requirements
◦ Provide delivery updates and history as requested by customer
◦ Respond to customer issues to ensure satisfaction
◦ Vendor billing
◦ Ensure all charges are billed correctly including: detention/demurrage/pre-pull/port open charges
◦ Process freight bills and perform other administrative tasks
◦ Management support
◦ Strive for continuous improvement and identify opportunities to increase efficiency in all operations
◦ Assist manager and team members on miscellaneous projects as needed
◦ Support new 3PL business set up / operation
◦ Other duties as assigned
Compensation Range
$58,000- $63,000 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Education & Experience
• High School Diploma/G.E.D Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• 3 - 5 Years of Experience in Freight Forwarding/Ocean Carrier/In-land Transportation/Logistics Supply Chains Required
• 4 - 7 Years of Experience in Freight Forwarding / In-Land Transportation Preferred
