What You’ll Do

As a Warehouse Associate, you’ll be part of our Engineered Fastening Team located in Danbury, CT. You’ll get to: 

  • Pick and pack orders and palletize them to get them ready for shipment
  • Follow detailed packaging instructions derived from parts lists, blueprints, engineering specifications, military packaging specifications (BOM) and individual customer needs.
  • Set up and operate mechanical devices for printing, counting and packaging to meet packaging and assembly requirements.
  • Verify product and part numbers to order. Recognize mixed products, inconsistencies, incorrect labeling or packaging materials. Place packaging materials into designated areas and draw as required for order assembly and packaging.
  • Make boxes and other packaging containers following specific instructions and procedures.
  • Use plastic sealer pot, trimmer sealer and scales.
  • Use computer system (JDE) to keep necessary records including counting and recording time.
  • Follow procedures to receive and issue parts.
  • Combine sales orders to optimize order picking, releasing and shipping functions. Note any discrepancies and initiate corrective action with supervisor.
  • Perform cycle counts, audits of inventories and assist with annual physical inventories.
  • Draw and issue raw materials to manufacturing orders and other authorizations. Receive in and transport materials; identify, weigh and store. Separate, weigh and move scrap.
  • Pick up and deliver to appropriate locations rejected, wrong and overage materials and parts.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklift.
  •  Identify and move material/parts into next operation as directed by manufacturing order or special instructions. Deliver parts to designated work stations. Load, unload and move materials/parts as received.
  • Execute regular shipping instructions. Combine shipments for routings and rates. Use meters and related equipment for determining weights, zones and rates. Prepare special packaging as instructed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Must be able to understand English, written and spoken.

- Must be able to use hands, to do repetitive motions throughout the day, up to 10 hours per day.

- Ability to walk up and down stairs is required. Ability to stand approximately 95% of the day.

- Must be able to be trained and licensed to operate a motorized pallet jack.

-  Must be able to lift up to 35lbs continuously throughout the day.

-  Full mobility to bend, stoop, push/pull, lift and carry throughout the day continuously.

- Must be able to use computer proficiently to print labels, packing slips, etc within JDE system.

- Previous warehouse experience is required, at least 1 year.


Core hours on 1st shift are 6am - 2:30pm when on 8 hours, when scheduled for 9 hours: 5:30am - 3pm, on 10 hours: 5:30am - 4pm.

When scheduled for 10 hours, 10 hours is required Monday through Friday. Saturday/Sunday overtime is available.

This is a union position. Annual increases guaranteed. 4-month in role increase and 22 month in role increase also guaranteed per contract.
