Senior Auditor with an affinity for data and technology

We are looking for a Senior Auditor with an affinity for data and technology at a dynamic pension insurance company. The position

As a senior auditor you will make a significant contribution to the continuous improvement of all sections of Athora Netherlands. With your colleagues (IT and operational auditors) you cover the entire spectrum of the organization. You operate at strategic level, independently perform impactful audits at our IT business, operations, risk, compliance, investment office, the commercial part of our pension business or for example finance, reviewing the relevant processes and systems and the control measures embedded therein. Because the audit universe concerns the entire company, our audit objects are very diverse, giving you a complete and broad picture of what is going on within Athora.

As a Senior Auditor, you will work in small teams on large and/or complex audits in addition to being a content specialist. You have in-depth knowledge of and broad experience with audit methodology and audit techniques. You can play an important role in achieving our 'continuous auditing' ambitions and you are strong in data analytics and/or programming. Furthermore, you will contribute to the design of audit programs, perform audit work and report findings, conclusions and any recommendations to the responsible management. You also conduct frequent consultations with department heads on the course of business.

Internal Audit Athora Netherlands

Internal Audit Athora Netherlands is engaged in objectively providing assurance and tailored recommendations in the areas of Risk Management, Internal Control and Governance of the organization's various business units. We focus primarily on operational IT-, compliance-, project- and strategic audits with high inherent risk.

Our audit team consists of 10 auditors with diverse backgrounds, all with a passion for complex business processes and business change issues. Depending on their specific area of expertise, experiences and interests, our people focus on the different business units within Athora Netherlands.

We work hybrid, at offices in Amsterdam or Alkmaar or from your home. Your development of professional skills, expertise and personal growth is very important to us. The team is characterized by a professional but also informal working environment, with room for new initiatives.

Requirements

What do we ask?

• Completed college or university education. Education with a financial and/or IT direction is a plus;
• Several years of relevant work experience at an IT or financial organization or as an auditor/consultant at a financial institution, an IT service provider or an accounting firm;
• Knowledge of Governance, Risk and Compliance issues;
• Knowledge of/affinity with IT audits, data analytics, programming, audit tooling, knowledge of Teammate+ is a plus;
• Excellent knowledge of the English language and an excellent knowledge of the Dutch language or willing to learn;
• You have excellent analytical skills and a positive critical basic attitude;
• You are enthusiastic, proactive and self-reliant;
• You are an excellent team player;
• You know how to combine result-oriented and customer-oriented work, possess a strong power of persuasion and are able to make balanced judgments, distinguishing between main and minor issues.
