As a Senior Solution Architect, you will design, develop, and maintain advanced solutions for our clients. Depending on the assignment, you may work independently or collaboratively with colleagues. You will be part of a team of developers, architects, and other experts.

We are now looking for a Senior Solution Architect with expertise in Kotlin/Java and microservices, initially working with one of our clients in the accounting and purchasing domain. This assignment involves working on-site at the client’s office a few days per week, with the flexibility to work from our office or home for the remaining time.

What does the role of Senior Solution Architect involve?

• Design and develop innovative and scalable solutions using Kotlin and Java.

• Architect event-driven and microservice-based systems that support the client’s business.

• Collaborate closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and business objectives.

• Occasionally take on the role of Business Architect, including process mapping and requirements analysis.

• Ensure solutions follow architecture principles, security standards, and best practices.

• Participate in code and design reviews, contributing to technical excellence.

• Explore and implement new technologies and solutions to improve and optimize systems.

• Support clients in digitalization projects, system improvements, and business-driven initiatives.

• In addition to working with skilled and friendly colleagues, you will have a dedicated manager who supports your career development and works directly with you on projects.

We are now looking for someone who is team-oriented and engaged, with a solid background in software development, who has:

• 8+ years in software engineering with at least 3 years as a Solution or Lead Architect.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Kotlin and Java, ideally with frameworks like Spring Boot or Ktor.

• Proven track record designing and delivering event-driven, microservice-based architectures at scale.

• Strong background in API and service design, including REST and at least one of gRPC or GraphQL.

• Hands-on knowledge of cloud-native development (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience designing for observability and resilience, including monitoring, tracing, logging, and resilience patterns like circuit breakers and backoff strategies.

• Solid grounding in security and compliance, including OAuth2/OIDC, encryption, secret management, and regulatory considerations (GDPR, PCI-DSS, or SOX).

• Strong communication skills, able to collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and simplify complexity.

• Ability to take on Business Architect responsibilities, such as mapping business capabilities, analyzing processes, and aligning IT solutions with business outcomes.

• Previous experience in accounting, finance, or purchasing domains (e.g., P2P, AP/AR, ERP integration) is a significant plus.

• Skilled in producing clear architecture documentation (e.g., C4 models, ADRs) and driving governance and architectural standards.

• Speaks fluent English (Swedish is a big plus).
