About the role  

project44 is looking for a dedicated AR Specialist committed to accuracy of records and efficiency of processes to join our dynamic accounting team in Kraków (Poland). As a AR Specialist, you will support the Order to Cash and Revenue Accounting team by assisting in billings processes, in addition to the month-end close reporting process for revenue and ad hoc finance projects as needed. This role directly reports to the Team Lead AR & Billing.  

Responsibilities:  

• Review all incoming orders for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company bookings and revenue recognition guidelines 
• Manage order fulfillment utilizing NetSuite, including upgrades/downgrades and credit & rebills 
• Partner with F&A teams, Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, Legal, and become a subject matter expert in Accounts Receivable policy and procedures 
• Contributing to accounting month-end and FY close process, including but not limited to producing journal entries, issuing invoices, credit memos, debit memos and calculating unbilled Accounts Receivable accruals 
• Providing accounting/billing support by creation of financial reports, tracking of payment terms, and management of the financial experience for our customers 
• Support designing scalable billing processes and building systems infrastructure to support month-end close 
• Support developing and documenting controls and procedures 
• Help create and prepare schedules and reports regarding team metrics for management review 
• Manage special projects as assigned and deliver accurate results 
• Contribute ideas and innovations on legacy policies that improve efficiency and compliance 
• Preparing data and other support information requests as needed for audits and reviews conducted by external auditors 
• Participate in ad hoc projects as they arise across various teams (e. g. Commercial Finance, Sales Operations) 

Requirements:  

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or any similar fields is preferred  
• 2-5 years of professional experience in Accounts Receivable/Billing  
• Proven track record of resolving order management/billing issues 
• Experience working with sales, customer contracts, and order desk operations 
• Knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage 
• Familiarity with NetSuite and Salesforce is desirable 
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) 
• Fluency in verbal & written English 
• Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast paced environment 
• Analytical skills, attention to detail 
• Proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn 
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
