Job Overview

 

We are currently looking for a Senior Marketing Communications Writer to join our team in Holland.

 

As a Senior Marketing Communications Writer, you will:

 

Research, develop, write, edit, and update clear and compelling customer-facing content, and ensures implementation in print and digital marketing materials used by Field Sales, A&D partners, and Haworth’s Dealer Network to align with customer buying process. Targets key personas based on business drivers and buying process phase. Collaborates with Marketing and internal business partners to complete corporate deliverables, product launches, and campaigns that are on brand and portray Haworth as a leader in our industry. Leads initiatives to support development, implementation, and communication of voice and editorial brand standards. 

 

Some of the responsibilities include (but not limited to):

 

  • Works with Brand & Communications Strategist and cross-functional teams to write and edit communications for potential and current customers to promote sale of Haworth products and services and communicate dealer and internal programs.
  • Collaborates with internal business partners to create targeted messages that represent Haworth brand to build brand awareness and gain market share.
  • Serves as expert in identifying business drivers to assure right message is aligned to messenger and audience personas.
  • Works with team members to produce templates, creative briefs, and other tools to make creative process more efficient and cohesive.
  • Leads cross-functional team members in implementation of voice of the brand tone and style.
  • Attends appropriate meetings and maintains internal communication network at all levels of company to ensure awareness of corporate issues and initiatives.
  • Researches internal and external advances in communications technology; promotes usage appropriately, such as social media, blogs, and instant messengers, to benchmark best practices and new ways of communicating.
  • Uses limited knowledge of graphic design for simple projects that do not require graphics designer to support an efficient content creation process.
  • Contributes to annual business planning and integrates efforts with those of other departments to improve marketing creative process in support of responsible budget spend.
  • Communicates brand standards for voice to build brand awareness amongst internal and external partners.
     

Do you have these required qualifications?

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Writing, English, Public Relations, or equivalent.
  • Seven years experience working in marketing/sales environment, writing, editing, and managing multiple projects on tight deadlines.
     

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

 

  • Experience leading team members and projects.
  • Experience in the furniture industry.

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

 

  • Broad range of knowledge regarding contract furniture industry preferred
  • Strong problem solving and planning skills needed.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must have client-focused passion.
  • Ability to rapidly build rapport with peers and internal customers, including executive leadership.
