Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles is looking to hire a Sr. Security Analyst for a position with our Agency Risk Management/Joint Operations Center in Richmond, VA.
The Sr. Security Analyst will lead the design, implementation, operation, and oversight of the DMV’s Physical Security Program to ensure the protection of DMV employees, customers, facilities, equipment, and information. This includes responsibility as the subject matter expert (SME) for physical access control systems (PACS), CCTV, intrusion detection systems, and alarm systems. The position ensures program compliance with applicable Commonwealth security standards, CJIS, IRS 1075, SSA, PCI-DSS, and TSA-DHS physical security controls. The role also serves as the agency lead for the Information Security Awareness Training Program, ensuring compliance with the COV ITRM Standard SEC527. This includes the development, delivery, tracking, and reporting of annual and role-based training for DMV staff, contractors, and third parties. This position also involves supervising other staff as required.

Minimum Qualifications
• Experience providing technical direction and assistance to technology staff related to physical security features and requirements.
• Experience supporting an overall risk management process for the agency.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to emergency preparedness and management of disasters; state, federal and local emergency operation systems and emergency response and recovery principles and concepts.
• Experience with IT governance, policies, controls, and compliance.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent tasks
• Analytical, problem solving and decision making skills and experience, applied with a solution-focused attitude.
• Experience in working with compliance and regulatory program requirements.
• Fully understand the requirements of Commonwealth Security standards and to work with agency management and users to implement those requirements.
• In-depth understanding of the OSI model and TCP/IP.
• Experience in monitoring and protecting the attack surfaces.
• Expertise in physical security technologies (CCTV, PACS, intrusion detection, IOT and SCADA).
• Experience administering or coordinating agency-wide training programs.
• Proficiency with LMS and security compliance tracking tools.
• Experience working with Microsoft OS, Unix, Linux, Oracle and application patching policies, processes, and procedures.
• Experience with ITIL / IT Service Management tools to the extent necessary to inform and influence the integration of people, process, and automation.
Additional Considerations
•Experience in physical security, law enforcement, or facilities security management.
•Certifications such as PSP (Physical Security Professional), CPP (Certified Protection Professional), or equivalent.
•Experience working in a regulated environment (CJIS, IRS 1075, PCI-DSS).
