Atrium Health Levine Summer Camp

This position is a temporary position supporting Camp Harrison in Boomer, NC. We are seeking a temporary nurse to provide triage, assessment, and care for campers ages 7–16 throughout the summer season. This role supports the Health Center team in delivering high‑quality, compassionate care in a fast‑paced camp environment.

Key Details

• Schedule: June14th-August 8th, 12‑hour shifts- Some training prior to June 14th

• Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
• Rotation: Includes weekends on a rotating schedule

Setting: On‑site camp health center serving overnight and day campers

  We’re Looking For: 

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing 
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association  
• One year of Nursing experience needed 
• Pediatric, Urgent care or ER experience preferred

What You’ll Do: 

• As a camp nurse you will provide first aid, triage illness/injuries, assist with virtual visits, perform point of care testing, assist/ supervise campers with self-injections as needed, respond to any medical emergencies and help maintain the camp health center. 
• Collaboration with camp staff to support camper health and safety
• Documentation and communication with parents/guardians as needed
