The Role ...     

Our Developers know their stuff – they're busy working independently and setting high standards.     

As a Backend Engineer, you are part of an agile Software Development Team, responsible for the full lifecycle of an application using cutting-edge technologies to deliver amazing value to our customers, while scaling our platform to meet the demands of worldwide markets.    

From developing flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to supporting the Product Owner with requirements and the team with solutions, developing unit, component, and integrated tests with the guidance of the team's QA - you can expect to execute the full software development lifecycle.   

Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code to solve business needs and deploy applications in a Continuous Integration platform, as well as testing and documenting the implemented solutions will be a big part of your day-to-day.    

What You'll Bring      

Our Betnacional team backend runs in Go, so a proven track record of at least 5 years working with this technology would be ideal - but... If you have extensive experience working with similar OOP languages, that is not a problem as the underlying concepts are similar - just know that if you join us you'll be working with Go.   
 

We'd Like You To Master In: 

• Experience with distributed systems and messaging (e.g. Kafka, SQS, Kinesis); 

• Background in working with SQL databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (e.g. DynamoDB, Elasticsearch) and caching (e.g. Redis);  

• Proven track record working with CI/CD, design patterns, and automated testing.
