Summary

Mission Technologies, a Division of HII is seeking a Software Engineer to support Air National Guard (ANG) F-16 Mission Tactics Trainer (MTT) simulators in Mesa, AZ.  The individual’s primary responsibility will be to design, develop, document, test, and debug applications software and systems that support the F-16 MTT simulators, especially related to the F-16 MTT Operational Flight Program (OFP). Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for F-16 MTT simulator software.

What you will do

• Experience with software development using C, C#, or C++
• Experience developing software for VxWorks
• Experience with implementing and supporting APIs between internal and external system components.
• Experience with Agile software development, Software Development Lifecycle processes, and debugging and analysis tools.
• Ability to prepare and present findings and recommendations to organization leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you must have

• 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• Experience with distributed simulation software applications, scheduling tools and environment generator applications.
• Experience developing software that produces and consumes distributed simulation protocols (e.g., DIS, HLA)
• Experience developing real-time simulation software.
• Information Assurance Training (IAT) Level 2 Certification (ex. CompTIA Security+)
• Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to upgrade to Special Access Program / Special Access Required (SAP/SAR).

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with tools such as Test Complete, QTP, Selenium, JIRA, Jenkins or GitLab.
• Experience in the DoD simulator community.
• Experience supporting SAP efforts.

Physical Requirements

Work will be in a normal office environment. May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
