About the role
JOB SUMMARY:
The main function of a thread inspector is to perform a dimensional inspection of the finished parts for compliance with product drawings.
JOB DUTIES:
- Interpret results from inspections and communicate findings effectively to production personnel
- Record the number of threads inspected and specific non-conformances by categories for daily reporting purposes.
- Read and interpret product drawings
- accurately use measuring equipment (dial calipers, micrometers, pit gauges) and interpret results.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass screening exam with a score of 80% on placement evaluation
