Limited Term Adjunct Lecturer, Nutritional Sciences (Multiple Positions) (Part-Time) Posting Number req25669 Department Nutritional Sci Wellness - RES Department Website Link https://snsw.arizona.edu/ Location Tucson Campus Address Tucson, AZ USA Position Highlights The School of Nutritional Sciences and Wellness seeks applications for a Limited Term Adjunct Lecturer to teach traditional courses in the Nutritional Sciences and Wellness (NSW) program. This is a 6-month, part-time (<0.49 FTE) appointment (non-tenure-eligible). Additional summer teaching opportunities may be available. This position is central to the teaching mission of the School of Nutritional Sciences and Wellness and involves teaching courses during the Fall 2026 semester.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach 1 to 3 credit lecture and/or lab classes in the Fall 2026 term. 
  • Course topics could include traditional food science and/or nutritional science courses, either online or in person.
  • Additional courses in future terms and/or topics presently in need of staffing include but are not limited to: Fundamentals of Food Science Lecture, Food Studies Laboratory, Food and Fermentation Laboratory and Food and Fermentation Lecture, basic principles of nutritional science, nutrition and chronic disease, and health coaching.  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of basic principle of nutrition education, food science, and/or exercise physiology. 
  • Skills in project management and leadership.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Creative problem solving.
  • Ability to multi-task. 
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in food science, Nutrition, Exercise Science or other related disciplines.

As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
