Job Title:    Galderma Summer 2026 Intern: Supply Chain Planning

Location:    Fort Worth TX

Description

The Supply Chain Planning Intern will support the U.S. Supply Chain Planning team through in‑depth analytical projects focused on improving forecast accuracy, inventory health, and overall planning performance. This role will involve deep-dive KPI analysis, identification of root causes, development of data-driven improvement proposals, and presentation of recommendations to leadership. The intern will gain hands-on experience working with SKU-level data, planning systems, and cross-functional partners within a fast-paced dermatological skincare supply chain environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supply & Demand Planning

  • Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term demand forecasts using statistical tools and business inputs.
  • Translate demand signals into executable supply plans aligned with production capacity, supplier constraints, and inventory targets.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and identify root causes of variance; implement corrective actions.

Inventory Management

  • Optimize inventory levels across the network, balancing customer service, working capital, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Track and report key metrics such as Days of Inventory Coverage (DIFC), service levels, safety stock adherence, and aging/slow-moving inventory.
  • Recommend inventory strategy adjustments based on trends, risks, and opportunities.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Build dashboards, KPIs, and reports to communicate supply chain performance to leadership.
  • Analyze data to identify patterns, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities across the end-to-end supply chain.
  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings with actionable insights and scenario analyses.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Communicate risks (capacity constraints, supplier delays, demand spikes) and propose mitigation plans.
  • Support new product introductions and lifecycle transitions through robust planning and risk assessment.

Process Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement in forecasting, planning systems, and data accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, planning parameters, and master data

Learning Objectives: 

Interns will gain exposure and hand-on experience in:

  • Demand & Supply Planning fundamentals

  • Supply Chain Planning KPIs:  Forecast accuracy/bias, Days of Inventory Coverage (DIFC), Inventory Value, Safety Stock policy, Statistical Forecasting and Forecast Value Add

  • S&OP process in a Dermatological Skincare business unit

Deliverables:

  • Action plan to optimize safety stocks based on findings from deep dive analysis and root cause(S)

  • Propose forecast accuracy targets at the customer level

  • Action plan to address skus and customers with lower forecast value add
