Student: Accounting Assistant

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) accounting team is looking for a student assistant to assist in day-to-day accounting operations. The successful applicant will work closely with the Accounting, Purchasing, and Travel teams to assist with all accounts payable (AP) functions, data entry, and various tasks as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Post AP invoices in accounting system
- Reconcile bi-weekly check processing
- Upload accounting documentation to internal applications
- Assist with quarterly audits as directed
- Assist cross functional teams with data entry
- Must be an undergraduate at USU currently studying accounting
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and detail oriented
- Excellent communicator who can request additional information when needed
- Capable of prioritizing daily tasks and meeting deadlines
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. person
- Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Sophomore or junior level USU
