Job Description

We’re searching for a Senior Analyst, Data Technology who will be a key contributor within the core Data and Analytics (DNA) team. Data and Analytics is structured into three specialties:  Data Intelligence, Data Strategy, and Data Technology. 

Data Technology is responsible for developing a data strategy and leveraging technology to tag, create, organize, license, store, aggregate and synthesize data into readable dashboards and reports.  This provides the framework to advance each client’s overall data maturity in support of their business-specific objectives.

Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Leverage a variety of tools to deliver rapid-response insights through data mining techniques
  • Drive process improvement and quality control for key deliverables 
  • Independently and proactively troubleshoot and address quality control issues, generating reports and analysis that may require the merging of multiple data sets
  • Improve the speed of reporting by creating automated processes to more efficiently consolidate data from a multitude of internal, vendor, and application specific sources 
  • Utilize understanding of SQL to more efficiently organize and manage data
  • Access sources including Google Analytics, Adobe Suite, Google Ad Words, and DFA to create customized reports and data pulls  
  • Utilize Excel and visualization tools (Tableau/Datorama/PowerBI) to pull data into custom charts, tables, and to showcase the most critical series of actionable business metrics 
  • Implement and execute recommended data governance and quality processes inclusive but not limited to data taxonomy and tagging standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to advance data-driven scale and sophistication
  • Foster and contribute to a team environment

Qualifications

  • Four year degree (with a business focus such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance or Marketing)
  • Master’s degree (preferred)
  • 2+ years of business experience in marketing consulting, advertising or data analysis
  • Expertise within the digital environment and in aligning marketing strategies with business needs
  • Working knowledge of integrated marketing best practices
  • Exposure to mobile, social, tablet measurement approaches as well as understanding of role of attribution and paths to conversions  a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to aggregate information and data from multiple sources  
  • Demonstrated understanding of digital tagging, tracking, QA, and maintenance  
  • Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint is required  
  • Working knowledge of best in class data visualization, data manipulation and data storage solutions and products
  • Proficiency in SQL, python, R, javascript, manipulating large data tables and creating custom queries
