Position Overview
The Division of Mental Health is seeking to hire a Maintenance Worker – Power Plant for the Treatment and Detention Facility located in Rushville, Illinois to perform maintenance of mechanical equipment, facility equipment, building and grounds. Coordinates the Engineering Department Preventative Maintenance Program. Maintains and repairs plant mechanical room equipment including air handlers, circulating pumps, radiant heat pumps, humidifiers, pneumatic distribution system and electrical panels. Keeps all mechanical areas clean. Prepares facility boilers for required state inspections. Performs crafts maintenance throughout the facility below the journey level including but not limited to routine painting, carpentry, electrical repairs, plastering, pluming repairs, roofing repairs, masonry, locksmithing and steam fitting repairs.
