COS Project Specialist

Are you passionate about improving processes, solving complex problems, and driving measurable results? We’re seeking a COS Specialist II to help advance a culture of continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations.

 

In this role, you’ll leverage Lean Six Sigma tools and data-driven insights to reduce variability, improve efficiency, and deliver sustainable performance gains. You’ll collaborate across departments, lead improvement initiatives, and influence how teams approach problem-solving and execution.

What You’ll Do

• Lead continuous improvement (CI) projects across multiple value streams, departments, or plants
• Analyze data using tools like Minitab and SAP to identify opportunities and track impact
• Apply Lean methods (Value Stream Mapping, 5S, TPM) and Six Sigma tools (DMAIC, SPC, DOE)
• Facilitate Kaizen events and structured problem-solving sessions
• Manage project timelines, resources, and execution with growing independence
• Partner cross-functionally to deliver and sustain measurable results
• Support capital project justification and track savings

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or Associate’s with 5+ years relevant experience)
• 3+ years in manufacturing or business environments with Lean/Six Sigma experience
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to apply CI tools to moderately complex, non-routine challenges
• Proven ability to collaborate, influence, and drive results across teams

Preferred

• Lean Certification and/or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
• Experience leading Kaizen events or CI initiatives
