    Job Description

    About the role:

    The Senior Process Control Engineering will be responsible for refining the disruptive technology implementations and preparing for production operation and replication. This position reports to the Manufacturing Development department and will work in collaboration with the Technology Development department in order to be faster and more efficient in achieving operational excellence.

    Principal responsibilities: 

    • Review and provide feedback on technical specifications for equipment and systems compliant with technical, safety and best engineering practices.

    • Prepare and review detailed calculations, including scaling and set point calculation for digital and analog controls applications.

    • Lead engineering work related to new installation of process control systems (including but not limited to batch house systems, compressed air systems, cooling system, water, vacuum, combustion skids, fire protection, robots, servo mechanism, forming machines, hot end monitoring systems, palletizers, etc.)

    • Lead commissioning and startup of disruptive technology working close with the plant technicians and the technology development team.

    • Generate proper documentation as trip reports, technical analysis, lessons learned and provide feedback to the technology development group.

    • Design and implement improvements on technology prototypes to increase the performance consolidating maintenance and operation best practices.

    • Support the design and implementation of a maintenance program

    • Support the design and implementation of a training program

    • Support project meetings, reporting on project status and issues and maintaining communication with contractors to effectively execute project tasks.

    • Coordinate activities between plants and R&D Technology development and/or third-party suppliers to keep process control systems specifications and operating conditions within recommended parameters.

    • Point of contact for production squad & local operations to resolve issues during operations/production

    • Support other areas such as mechanical and infrastructure

    • Check compatibility and approval of documents and drawings from different vendors to ensure the success of projects.

    • Know and apply the technical standards relevant to your area of expertise.

    • Provide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced engineers

    Reporting Relationships  

    • The Senior Process Controls Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Development Squad Lead

    Qualifications

    About you:

    Technical Requirements:

    •  B.S or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics or equivalent engineering field.

    •  10 years' experience in manufacturing plants / industry related jobs.

    •   Ability to develop, read, interpret and understand electrical and process control diagrams.

    •   Advanced experience defining specifications, procurement, installation, operation and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems for Natural Gas, Compressed Air, Ventilation, Material Storage, Robots, Servo mechanisms and Delivery systems.

    •  MS Office – Advanced

    •  Knowledge in Project Management – Intermediate
