Job Summary
The Strategic Initiatives Analyst will play a critical role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives, for Universal Ads, with a focus on marketplace and business performance analyses, commercial recommendations, and long-term strategic positioning. This individual will conduct in-depth analyses to inform business decisions, identify and develop opportunities for differentiation and growth in the data, inventory, and partnership spaces, and support pressing cross-business unit needs. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, an understanding of the CTV and advertising landscape, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders through data-driven insights with structured, clear strategic recommendations. Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct economic modeling and analyses to evaluate partnership structures across demand and supply, establishing favorable terms in line with a cohesive business strategy
- High proficiency in both PPT and Excel
- Maintain macro-level insights (shifts in competitive landscape, trends in self-service ad buying tools and buyer segments) with direct translation into strategic takeaways for the business.
- Run frequent analyses of business health metrics and KPIs, delivering actionable insights to optimize performance and monetization and monitoring / solving for issues as they emerge
- Identify opportunities to enhance UA’s customer advantage within differentiated data and supply, collaborating with BUs across CMCSA to supplement and accelerate initiatives
- Support leadership with cross-BU priorities, including holistic business updates and conceptual frameworks
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Partnerships, GTM, Product teams to implement strategies and maintain central alignment with UA’s broader goals.
- Develop executive-level reports and prepare presentations to communicate key findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to maintenance of back-end reporting systems, ensuring stakeholders deliverables and dashboards represent accurate and cleansed data
- Candidates will be prioritized who have experience that includes: knowledge of issues around premium video, including OTT, STB-VOD, CTV and other connected devices; understanding of the advertising ecosystem, including transaction models and value chain economics and professional experience in advertising at a major DSP, SSP, exchange, network or publisher
