The Agent and Loan Officer AI team at Zillow is focused on making real estate agents, loan officers, and the buyers they are helping have a smoother and more delightful experience. We build end-to-end applications and AI-driven services that help agents and loan officers use their time more efficiently, giving them more insight into how to help each buyer they are interacting with, and by using machine learning tools like Large Language Models to help them communicate more effectively with home buyers

About the role

We are seeking an accomplished Principal Product Manager to build a set of AI solutions to help our partners manage their lead pipelines, engage with customers effectively, and improve their conversion rates while helping their clients reach their home buying dreams. You will work closely with applied scientists, engineers, design, and partner PMs to develop solutions from conception through adoption. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Apply emerging and state of the art technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic frameworks, natural user interactions (i.e., voice), in designing and building experiences that help real estate agents and loan officers deliver personalized, guided home shopping services to their clients.

  • Develop product strategy and maintain a robust roadmap for dynamic and personalized client engagement solutions.

  • Stay informed of the technology and industry landscape, collaborating closely with applied scientists to establish metric benchmarks, conduct rigorous AB testing, and leverage data-driven insights to iterate and drive continuous experience improvement.

  • Collaborate extensively with internal teams including applied scientists, multimodal understanding and generation experts, machine learning engineers, design technologists, and researchers to translate requirements into actionable plans and deliverables.

  • Implement and uphold responsible AI development practices to ensure ethical, transparent, and fair usage of AI technologies.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $186,700.00 - $298,300.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • 8+ years of proficient ability in a product management role, with a focus on building AI solutions

  • Experience in applying the latest generative AI technologies, such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and state-of-the-art agentic frameworks.

  • Familiarity with design and user research methodologies specific to AI, enabling user-centered product development.

  • Strong product sense, with abilities in strategy formation, navigating ambiguity in complex spaces, and deep experience with rigorous AB testing.

  • Effective communicator (written and verbal) capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both business and technical audiences.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a history of building and maintaining strong relationships by involving the right people at the right time throughout the development process.

  • Proven track record to thrive in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative cross-team environment.
