As a Business Systems Analyst Consultant within PNC's Retail Lending organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX. Weekly time in the office is needed.Support is needed during release windows over weekends and late evenings, as needed. Releases are once or twice a month.
PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.
Needed Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Business System Analyst in an Agile environment.
• Demonstrated ability to write high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on understanding complex business logic and rules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience running and facilitating refinement meetings.
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to understanding and documenting requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Business Rule Management Systems (BRMS) or other decisioning platforms.
• Familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence.
• A background in the financial services industry.
Position Overview:
As a Business System Analyst Consultant on the Decisioning Engineering team, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will be instrumental in translating complex business rules into technical requirements, working closely with engineering and business partners to deliver efficient and effective decisioning capabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of rules-based systems, a passion for collaboration, and a keen eye for detail to ensure successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Requirements Elicitation: Work directly with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather, analyze, and document business rules and decisioning requirements.
• Story & Acceptance Criteria Writing: Translate business requirements into clear, concise, and accurate user stories with detailed acceptance criteria for the engineering team.
• Agile Team Collaboration: Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Lead and facilitate story refinement and grooming meetings with the crew.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager, Product Owner, and other BSAs to prioritize the backlog, manage dependencies, and ensure alignment on project goals.
• Decisioning Rules Management: Gain a deep understanding of the team's rule-based systems and work to ensure the logic is correctly captured and maintained.
• System Analysis: Perform impact analysis on new requirements and existing rules, identifying potential risks and dependencies.
• Testing & Validation: Support the QA team in validating that the implemented rules and features meet the business requirements and acceptance criteria.
