We have opened a new position and are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer, Core Systems. Reporting to the Hardware Engineering Senior Manager, this role is responsible for the design, development, and sustainment of core electrical systems that underpin Hach products. This includes power architecture, control electronics, and sensor interfaces that define product performance, reliability, and scalability. This role spans both new product development and sustaining engineering, ensuring continuity and excellence across the full product lifecycle.
This position is part of the Core Systems team located in Loveland, Colorado, and will be on-site.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
As an Electrical Engineer, you will own meaningful portions of product functionality and play a critical role in delivering robust, high-performing systems. You will:
- Lead the design and development of core electrical subsystems, including power systems, control boards, and sensor interfaces
- Design and analyze electrical systems and circuits to meet performance, cost, and reliability targets
- Own technical solutions across new product development and sustaining efforts, ensuring continuity from concept through production and field support
- Define and execute verification approaches across environmental and operational conditions
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues affecting product performance, reliability, or manufacturability-drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Contribute to system-level architecture discussions and influence key design decisions
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are technically sound, manufacturable, and aligned with customer and business needs-ensure alignment with product development processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate new technologies and approaches, incorporating them where appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering within product development and/or sustaining environments
- Strong experience in circuit design, system integration, and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated ability to independently drive technical work and resolve complex problems
- Experience working in cross-functional product development environments
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience with power electronics, embedded systems, or sensor technologies
- Familiarity with ISO design controls and regulated product environments
- Experience supporting products across the full lifecycle (development through sustainment)
