Inventory Control Specialist

Shift: 6am-4pm, Mon-Thurs, OT 6am-11am Fridays
Pay: $18/HR
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Takes initiative to solve inventory errors and get to the root cause.
- Drives inventory organization in the warehouse and outside storage areas
- Drives monthly inventory counts
- Drives RTS (Return-to-Stock) system improvements
- Enters data into MRP system (META) including sheet material, extrusion and regular parts
- Audit items issued to trailers
- Investigate inventory discrepancies. If necessary, adjust the errors in MRP System
- Analyzes inventory levels and requirements
- Assist Parts Runners – Find their trailer parts, watch for double issues, locations and part information
- Backup on Cycle Counting

- Strong Mechanical and Mathematic aptitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a highly motivated problem solver with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others
- High degree of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and flexible to priority changes
- Ability to manage time schedules across multiple departments
- Intermediate understanding of fabrication processes and workflow
- Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Experience in MRP systems; META a plus
- Inventory control experience required
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 1+ years experience in scheduling, planning or inventory control in a manufacturing environment
- Experience and ability to understand inventory concepts including part reservations, work in process (WIP) etc.
- High School diploma or general equivalency
- Previous experience and knowledge of MRP systems
- General knowledge of inventory control principles and procedures

- Ability to stand, walk, climb, crawl, and bend for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Work is primarily conducted in a warehouse setting. Some work is conducted in a shop floor environment with noise, dust, operating machinery and high volume of traffic.
