About this job:

We are looking for an experienced actuarial manager, to head our GMDB and FinSol reserving team (currently four team members located in Paris and Zürich)

The role can be based in either in Paris or Zürich.

About the role:

The focus of this role is to manage and monitor the market risks benefits portfolio (mainly French GMDB products) and FinSol portfolio. The missions and tasks of the role are the following :

GMDB and FinSol valuation and reporting (Solvency II, LDTI, VIF, FR GAAP, BMA):

• Supervise reporting activities according to internal and regulatory timelines, including planning, review, regulatory disclosures (LDTI 4a and 4b, reserves analysis of change)
• Monitor data quality (seriatim data, data process),
• Monitor economic assumption updates (economic scenarios, own credit spreads, market data)
• Coordinate the delivery of group and PRESE solvency capital requirement (market risks, lapse risk, mortality risk, CAT risks)
• Perform sign-off activity, including supervision of the completion of the governance activity
• Supervise documentation of reporting end-to-end process and results
• Coordinate results communication with internal stakeholders (management, actuarial function, Market/Pricing, FinOps, External Reporting)
• Contribute to Quarterly Business Review upon management request,
• Monitor the internal retrocession on reserves,

GMDB specific reporting activities:

• Ensure input delivery for BMA (Bermuda Monetary Authority)
• Ensure input delivery for ALM and Risk Management (Risk margin sensitivities and Cross pillar)

Off-cycle activities for both GMDB and FinSol:

• Support external and internal audits.
• Coordinate remediation actions to auditors’ outstanding points.
• Support business requirements upon request (pricing review, recapture valuation)
• Support company business plan production

Assumption and modelling activities:

• Monitor assumptions and model updates (including experience analysis, monitoring of risk profile, MRB assumption update)
• Ensure efficiency of governance framework
• Ensure efficiency and adequacy of the valuation tools and production environment.
• Coordinate the production of the materials for the assumption monitoring committee.
• Organize model governance (model documentation, control framework adequacy)
