Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. This hybrid role includes both front office (administrative) and back office (clinical support) responsibilities. The ideal candidate is organized, friendly, and comfortable working in a dynamic, client-focused environment. Phlebotomy experience is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities

Front Office (Receptionist) Duties:

  • Greet clients in a warm, professional manner and assist with check-in/check-out procedures

  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage appointment scheduling

  • Verify insurance information and assist with billing processes as needed

  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA

  • Keep the front desk and waiting area organized and presentable

Back Office (Medical Assistant) Duties:

  • Prepare treatment rooms and assist clinicians as needed

  • Record vital signs, update patient records, and assist with EMR documentation

  • Maintain stock of clinical supplies and ensure cleanliness of exam areas

  • Assist with administrative support for medical documentation and referrals

Other / Preferred Duties:

  • Perform phlebotomy (draw blood) and handle specimens in accordance with lab procedures

  • Assist with coordination of lab results and follow-up communication

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (required)

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program (preferred)

  • Phlebotomy certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days

  • 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)

  • Familiarity with EMR systems and standard medical office procedures

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills

  • CPR certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire

Work Environment

  • Monday–Friday 10am-2pm schedule

  • On-site only (no remote work)

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
