Role Overview:
The Wellbeing Collective (WBC) is a Turnover €2.5bn Global Business Unit with a portfolio of seven Operating Companies (OpCo), participating in the markets of Vitamins, Minerals, and Supplements (VMS), Functional Hydration, and Bandages. At present, the majority of the Turnover is in the US which is complimented by a fast growing and meaningful business in China, and rapid entry to other international markets. The WBC is the largest and fastest growing unit within Unilever’s Beauty & Wellbeing Business Group and has the strategic role as a growth accelerator led by the Power Brands of Liquid IV, Nutrafol, and Olly.
The Associate Director, SC Finance & Business Transformation will play a key role for both the WBC Finance & Supply Chain leadership. This newly created position will create significant value for WBC that will be reinvested to fuel continued high growth. Priorities will include value creation and supply resilience from sourcing strategy including make versus buy decisions, route to market and fulfillment continuous improvements in service, flexibility, and costs, and performance management consisting of enhanced benchmarking, performance management, and analytics. This successful Associate Director, SC Finance & Business Transformation will require ability to build strong network across functions of WBC, the different OpCo’s, as well as with key integration points and stakeholders in Unilever. Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Finance Strategy and businesses case
- Identification of value and resilience opportunities
- Preparation and analytics of business and financial case
- Stakeholder management to have the strategy and investments authorized
- Performance management of projects to ensure return on invested delivers as promised
- Performance Management and Benchmarking
- Gross Margin Variance Analysis (GMVA)
- Benchmarking of costs internally and externally to identify opportunities
- Savings and operational excellence analysis, planning, and reporting
- Program & Project Management
- Ability to lead a project from start (white paper) to approval (stakeholder authorization) to finish (promised value achieved).
- Flexibility to be a team member of multi projects concurrently that may have few synergies of content or team members.
- Strong communication skills that will require formal papers and presentations to senior management in WBC and Unilever.
- Adaptability to serve in a Supply Chain Finance capacity in OpCo’s or International expansion when required
- Deployment to OpCo’s and International Expansion to increase their capacity or bring special skills and experience to them at moments that have high value at stake, increased complexity, or strained capacity in their finance function.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in finance transformation, process improvement, or related roles. Experience in managing large-scale transformation projects is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools, such as ERP systems and business intelligence platforms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of change management principles and practices.
Pay: The pay range for this position is $141,680 to $212,520. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
