Job Description Summary

Transamerica Life seeks a self-driven actuary, with a proven record of, or interest in, performing cross-functionally in a highly visible role groomed towards leadership development. The Special Projects team works seamlessly across all Life products (UL, IUL, VUL & Traditional Life), in a variety of endeavors (assumption setting, financial analysis, risk and profit assessment), and is usually the frontline at which key strategic company initiatives are developed and tested. Accordingly, the successful candidate will operate with a high degree of independence, leading analytical efforts across multiple projects and delivering insights that shape key business decisions. The candidate will have demonstrated the ability to effectively communicate findings to both actuarial and non-technical senior management, work collaboratively, and, when necessary, propose appropriate courses of action.

Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Drive (IFRS/GAAP/Stat) assumption setting across life blocks, including model development, testing, analysis, and communication of results to leadership.
