The Opportunity
This position is with the Portfolio Reporting team of the Dealer Financial Services group and is based in Detroit, MI. This position will be the lead data and analytics resource supporting the Consumer and Commercial Auto FR Y-14Q Fed data submissions consisting of numerous credit risk metrics across many levels of segmentation. The primary responsibilities of this position are to query, prepare, validate, and reconcile all data and ensure our processes and submissions align with Fed guidance for each metric. The position is also required to maintain detailed process documentation and update processes as necessary based on Fed changes.
The Work Itself
- Manage all aspects of completing the Consumer Auto and Commercial Auto FR Y-14Q dataset submissions to the Fed.
- Be able to reconcile and explain differences in balances between the general ledger and transactional data.
- Act as a liaison with Enterprise Risk, Business Line Risk, and IT to understand all current data issues and how they might impact the integrity of the data we use.
- Maintain and update all Snowflake, SQL, desk procedures, and process maps as necessary.
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science, or related business field required.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced analytical/reporting role.
- Experience data mining using Python and SQL.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Can initiate proactively and effectively manage multiple priorities.
