Your Career

As an Advisory Security Architect in the advisory services organization in [US | EMEA | JAPAC], you provide thought leadership to our customers. You will lead our customers in their cybersecurity journey through the delivery of advisory consulting offerings. This means you have a deep and broad understanding of security disciplines to create an enterprise security architecture and strategy for our customers. The ideal candidate will need to be adept at communicating at the highest levels of the organization and should be comfortable with creating and presenting reports based on data obtained through interviews, workshops and assessments.

We expect office-based employees to be in the office four days per week, with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change …. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together four days per week.

Your Impact

• Assess a customer’s cybersecurity posture and create an operational strategy and roadmap towards a target architecture
• Provide actionable recommendations on how to improve a current cybersecurity posture at the people, process and technology levels
• Accelerate business value by aligning recommendations to business drivers
• Assist in the development and improvement of assessment frameworks
• Collaborate with sales, product, and delivery teams to ensure positive sales results

Qualifications

Your Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required - Preferred degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related fields or equivalent military experience required
• Minimum of 10 years experience in information security with at least 4+ years specializing in enterprise security architecture
• 3+ years of experience working in a consulting firm - preferably in the Big 4
• Possess in-depth knowledge on enterprise security architecture across one, or more of the following domains - Identity & Access Management, Cloud Security, Endpoint Security, Network Security, Application Security, Security Operations and Incident Response 
• Domain expertise in the areas of public cloud architecture, cloud native security models, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Containers and Serverless on at least one of the following cloud providers platforms - AWS, Azure and GCP
• Demonstrates a proven record of success in enterprise security architecture consulting with extensive experience developing enterprise security strategies, architectures and roadmaps
• Demonstrates extensive experience in conducting enterprise security assessments to identify security gaps and maturity
• Experience in positioning the following technologies as part of a cybersecurity transformation strategy - SASE, CNAPP, CSPM, CIEM, CWPP, CASB, SWG, XDR, SOAR, SIEM, NGFW, IAM, DLP
• Certified in one, or more of the following - CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, CCSK, SABSA, TOGAF are strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience conducting security audits and assessments using methodologies based on industry leading frameworks including - ISO/IEC 27001, NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, CMMI, FAIR
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, both written and oral
• Technology sales or pre-sales support experience is a plus
• Expect to travel a minimum of 50%+ of the weeks in the fiscal year - This is a global role and will require travel both in theater and internationally - Travel will include customer and Palo Alto Networks location onsite meetings
