As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be central to that technology development process. You’ll be responsible for design and development of propeller hubs, pitch change actuation systems, and controls for a wide range of new aircraft, including conventional, eVTOL, hydrogen, and electric applications. You’ll do all of this as part of an empowering engineering culture that promotes experimentation and learning.
Key Deliverables:
1) Define the propeller configurations using 3D modeling (SolidWorks) software
2) Write engineering test plans and reports
3) Perform preliminary structural analysis using
4) Perform geometric dimension and tolerance assessments
5) Master engineering changes in ERP/MRP/PDM systems
6) Develop an understanding of the applicable FAA regulations, with a goal of becoming an ODA Unit Member.
7) Designing rotating structural parts
8) Manage project assignments
First Year Success Factors
1. Develop a working understanding of the function of Hartzell’s different propeller systems
