Job Title:       Senior Accountant

Dept:              Finance

Reports to:   Finance Department Manager

 

SUMMARY

 

The Senior Accountant assists the Finance Manager in financial and risk management operations. The Senior Accountant will maintain accounting controls and provide accurate financial information to management to facilitate decision making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
• Assists in preparation, analyzation, and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, annual financial reports
• Coordinates with external auditors and consultants
• Assists in maintaining internal controls
• Assists in the daily cash management function (Check run etc.)
• Vendor management
• Other duties as assigned

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

 

• Oracle Fusion experience is strongly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and management accounting.
• Strong ability to present financial information to a variety of audiences
• Proficiency in the use of ERP software suites, and Microsoft Office software
• High levels of integrity and trustworthiness
• Proficient in project management
• Attention to detail
• Ability to deal with ambiguity

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business, or equivalent business experience and 5+ years of progressively responsible experience.
