Overview
SMS Data Products Group, Inc. is in need of a Publication Specialist to work on our 61st Communications Squadron (CS) Base Operations Support Task Order at Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB). The position will support the 61st CS at LAAFB and other regional USAF facilities, including the Space and Missile System Center (SMC). The 61st CS is a subordinate group under the U.S. Space Force. SMS delivers information technology support services to include network control center support, configuration management, communications focal point, video teleconferencing, and overall cybersecurity support and training.
This position requires an active secret clearance and work is onsite 5 days a week.

Responsibilities
- Support to the Base Privacy Act Monitor IAW AFI 33-332 Air Force Privacy & Civil Liberties Program and be appointed as the 61 CS Unit Privacy Monitor and perform duties identified in AFI 33-332 paragraph 2.12.
- Analyze and processes PA Personally Identifiable Information (PII) breaches and PII Civil Liberties complaints
- Monitor case files for uniformity IAW DoD, AF, and local procedures
- Interface with offices throughout AF, USSF, and other federal agencies
- Perform monthly PII scans and DoD directed keyword searches of data hosted on shared drives and Electronic Information Systems (EIS).
- Provide FOIA support IAW DODM 5400.07_AFMAN 33-302 Freedom of Information Act Program except on those activities identified as inherently governmental.
- Support the publication department and working with government publication office regarding steps prior to the release of information
Qualifications
- Understanding and ability to ensure protection of PII information and follow up on concerns
- Understand procedures regarding sending out base content
- Excellent written communications skills
- Ability to multi-task and work with various customers
- Able to work on-site 5 days per week
- CompTIA Security+CE certification required
- Must be a US Citizen and either hold a minimum of a DoD Secret security clearance or be eligible for clearance sponsorship
