The Fulfillment team ensures that every ticket delivered is valid. We own the post-purchase flow; including barcode integrations, mobile wallets, partner APIs, inventory reconciliation, observability, and incident response, with a mission of zero fulfillment breakage and a seamless experience for fans and sellers.
As an Software Engineer II, you’ll build end-to-end post-purchase flows, partner integrations that directly drive reliability improvements and measurable business impact at massive scale.
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote) – New York, NY or Century City, CA What You'll Do:- Design, implement, and operate backend services and integrations powering the post-purchase fulfillment pipeline (barcode validation, mobile wallets, partner APIs, & inventory reconciliation).
- Build 0-to-1 fault-tolerant systems and async pipelines (queues/streaming) that scale for peak event traffic and ensure idempotent, reliable delivery.
- Own features end-to-end: from requirements and architecture to implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and runbooks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, and QA, as well as two Operations partners:
- Active Support: enhances the post-purchase customer experience and builds tools for fans and support agents.
- Marketplace Operations: drives inventory quality and supply across events.
- Instrument services with robust observability: metrics, logs, distributed traces, and alerting to proactively detect and reduce fulfillment breakage.

What You've Done:
- 3-4 years building production software with a focus on backend and distributed systems.
- Proficient in Java, Python, or Golang, with experience building and consuming APIs.
- Built scalable, reliable systems for real-time ticketing, barcode validation, and post-purchase workflows.
- Designed async pipelines and streaming systems (Kafka or similar) to handle peak traffic with zero breakage.
- Integrated third-party APIs, with bonuses for experience in venue systems, barcode providers, or mobile wallets.
- Operated cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), delivering features that improve reliability and power seamless experiences at scale.
