What you’ll do
- Development and analysis of the performance and administration of US benefits & well-being programs, including but not limited to, health & welfare, 401k retirement, voluntary benefits in partnership with vendors; also includes governance and partnership with non-insured programs, including leave, holiday, PTO, tuition policies, and others
- Lead Open Enrollment process focused on an optimal employee experience, including engagement, support, change management, system readiness, communication build, and HR partnerships
- Administers and completes all benefits compliance activities, including but not limited to, 1095 prep and filing, non-discrimination testing, required annual mailings, plan audits, and others
- Oversight and administration of employee benefits lifecycle, including our benefits administration system and employee queries, in partnership with site HR teams
- Leads the development and coordination of benefits & well-being communication for all stakeholders, i.e, monthly newsletter, benefits guides, reference materials
- Maintains, actively pursues, and applies knowledge within the evolving US benefits & well-being landscape
- Responsible for the review, analysis, and reply to employee inquiries with equal focus on employees’ experience with LGC US benefits & well-being programs
- Reviews and approves vendor benefit coverage booklets and summaries, in partnership with H&W broker team
- Manages vendors and 3rd parties; monitors and tracks performance guarantees
- Processes and approves US invoices, which may include partnering with Finance on internal invoices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, accounting, or HR or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within HR, previous Benefits role preferred
- Minimum of 5 years with benefits regulatory and statutory operations, including compliance activities
- Leave administration and state disability knowledge a plus
- Experience with a multi-state organization, including the State of CA, preferred
Other skills and abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Microsoft Office knowledge required
- Experience in managing projects is a plus
