Trinity Health in Muskegon is searching for the best and brightest to join our team! Come join our team as a Dietitian Assistant on a rotating day shift 1st shift 7am to 3:30pm and 9am to 5:30pm.
Position Summary:
Distributes menus and assists patients in completing menus in a professional manner. Communicates appropriate patient nutritional information to the Dietitian. Accurately edits menus and processes food production sheets. Monitors tray line to ensure accuracy of patient orders on trays. Promotes continuous assessment and improvement in the quality of dietary services according to normative standards of excellence and practice. Functions as a team leader as necessary. Answers telephone appropriately and communicate information correctly. Obtain and maintain competency in accessing and documenting patient information in the automated patient medical record as defined by departmental policies. Great customer service is a must.

What will you do:
- Processes room service orders
- Interacts with patients and family members by order taking via the phone and inputting menu selections into the computer
- Promotes positive customer service relations between Nutrition Services and Nursing units, patients, families, and all other people they meet.
- Maintains knowledge of profession, safe food handling and sanitation
What you will need:
- HS diploma or GED required
- One year prior employment experience in food service preferred.
- Ability to interact with a variety of individuals including employees and patients.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to meet position responsibilities.
- Must be able to enter orders on the computer and answer phones.
32 hours per pay period
Primarily Day shift; Secondary Mid shift
7am to 3:30pm and 9am to 5:30pm
Every other weekend
Rotating holidays
