2024 Mechanical Engineering Intern, Production Support

V2X Aerospace Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineering student to aid the manufacturing engineering team in its support of production or repairs of mechanical assemblies. The candidate must be able to develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. The candidate should also be able to support multiple projects, in a fast-paced team environment. NOTE: This position is on site daily.

Job responsibilities include:

• Work alongside an Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer mentor to help support production or repair of mechanical assemblies such as missile launchers, pylons, radar systems, aircraft instrumentation pods, flight displays or other defense equipment.
• Help in development of manufacturing procedures.
• Aid in troubleshooting of mechanical problems
• Support the mechanical manufacturing area to implement process improvements
• Design special tooling for manufacturing processes.

Required Skills:

• Experience with 3D modelling.
• Familiarity with 3D printing processes.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Skilled with Microsoft Office applications

Desired Skills:

• Experience writing technical documentation.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma. Actively pursuing a degree in Electrical Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Mechanical Engineering Technology.
