YOUR ROLE: RETAIL CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
Let’s start with what this is: This isn’t your average ‘manage the build site” kind of gig. This is a high-impact role where you’ll bring retail dreams to life—one store at a time.

As our Retail Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of retail construction projects from inception to completion. This role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, retail design requirements, and project management best practices.
WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO:
• Project Planning and Development:
◦ Review detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
◦ Collaborate with architects and designers to ensure compliance with retail design specifications and brand standards.
• Management and Coordination:
◦ Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors, general contractors, FF&E contractors, and local handyman services.
◦ Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality standards, and address any issues that arise.
• Budget and Financial Oversight:
◦ Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
◦ Review and approve invoices and change orders, maintaining accurate financial records.
• Compliance and Safety:
◦ Ensure all construction activities are conducted in compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
◦ Promote a culture of safety on-site and conduct regular safety audits.
• Communication and Reporting:
◦ Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, providing regular updates to the VP, and other stakeholders.
◦ Prepare comprehensive project reports detailing progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Problem Solving and Adaptability:
◦ Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
◦ Adapt to changing project requirements and maintain flexibility in managing multiple priorities.
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT:
• A Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction management, preferably within the retail sector.
• A proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Procore knowledge is a must!
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations specific to retail environments.

WORKING CONDITIONS / TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
The Retail Construction Manager position will be a remote position with very frequent visits to construction sites. The role may require extended hours and extensive travel mostly within the eastern portion of the United States with occasional travel to the main office in Park City, Utah, and other sites within the US
