You will be joining the Data Strategy Group within CRD Professional Services, which is the team responsible for the data and supporting architecture that are the structural pillars for all CRD and Alpha Data Platform (ADP) implementations. The Data Strategy team defines best practices for data management and oversees the data workstream on implementation projects to ensure that the client’s data meets their requirements to support business workflows. Achieving success for our clients involves a consultative approach to analyze their data requirements and processes, providing guidance, solution design, data mapping and configuration, all the way through to the support of testing efforts.

What you will do:
- Function as the data technology and strategy subject matter expert by leading the data consulting workstream on implementations of Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS) and Alpha.
- Own the data workstream for Alpha Data Platform and CRIMS implementations, including requirements gathering, providing product expertise and guidance, data solution design and gap analysis, configuration, and development.
- Ensure the solutions developed by Charles River meet the customer's business needs and that the customer can assume ownership and operate the solution effectively.
- Work with Product leadership to improve software quality by communicating defects and opportunities for enhancements based on customer needs and market trends.
- Lead the data management portion of client assessments during the sales process.
- Assist other Professional Services team members by developing a central knowledge repository and best practices around data strategy.
- Educate customers on best practices around data management and data quality within CRIMS and Alpha.
- Analyze and evaluate customer data requirements and gaps to help Charles River respond to sales opportunities and provides estimates during client assessments. Execute proof-of-concept projects for potential customers to demonstrate opportunities for CRIMS to satisfy their specific needs.
What we value
Senior Consultants should have experience in one or more of the following:
- First-hand knowledge of financial operations from a bank, investment manager, consulting, or software vendor background.
- Experience coding and developing software and/or data solutions, ideally in the financial services industry.
- Consulting experience successfully implementing Capital Markets or IT projects.
- Understanding of multi-tier technical data architectures, data feeds, import/export mapping, relational database structures, and SQL or other ETL/programming language(s).
- Familiarity with Bloomberg or financial analytics providers (FactSet, Yieldbook, ICE, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with tracking, managing, and troubleshooting data flow for software implementations.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Four (4) year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Mathematical Finance or Economics. An advanced degree or industry certification such as the CFA or relevant data science certificate is a strong plus.
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- The ability to travel to client sites throughout the United States and Canada and work effectively when remote from clients. Travel of 20-40% is typical but may exceed that at any given year.
