Duties, Responsibilities & Other
The Regional Practice Leader (RPL) is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the growth, vision, and success of the Wireless/Telecommunications practice across the designated regional market. This position blends technical expertise, business acumen, and strategic leadership to expand market share, develop new services, and strengthen client relationships while building and mentoring a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategic Planning
Lead the Wireless/Telecommunications practice within the region, aligning with KCI’s overall strategy and goals.
Collaborate with other regional practices and leaders to share expertise, implement best practices, and drive collective success.
Provide strategic input into sales goals, marketing/education plans, and long-term growth strategies.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and performance excellence.
Business Development & Client Management
Lead business development efforts, focusing on expanding services and entering new markets.
Strengthen existing client relationships while identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
Represent KCI at industry events, professional associations, and community organizations.
Provide client leads and cross-selling opportunities across service lines and regions.
Lead proposal development, negotiations, and pursuit strategies for major projects.
Recruitment, Retention & Professional Development
Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performance team by developing current staff into practice leaders and attracting top outside talent.
Support recruiting, retention, and succession planning to ensure the practice’s long-term strength.
Provide timely feedback and annual performance appraisals; support professional development through training and mentorship.
Financial & Operational Management
Partner with senior leadership (Sector President, Region Executive, Service Line Leader, CFO) to develop and manage the annual budget.
Ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Meet annual performance targets while monitoring resource allocation across practices and regions.
Oversee negotiation of scope, schedule, and fees for large/significant projects.
Project Management & Technical Leadership
Serve as Principal-in-Charge or Senior Project Manager on large, high-impact projects.
